Service Provided: This agency supports families in preventing and dealing with child abuse in West Tennessee through a 24-hour crisis hotline. This agency provides crisis intervention services, including a 24-hour hotline. Many of the families served by the Center are referred by the Department of Children's Services, community service agencies or the court system. In these families there are substantiated instances of child abuse or indications of possible danger to a child. In some cases, the child has been removed from the home. However, not everyone who contacts our Center is a child abuser. Families who see potential problems are developing, or who just want to be better parents, are encouraged to attend the Parent Training classes. This agency also provides support through crisis intervention; case management; supervised visitation; parenting groups/training; an advocacy component and a child sexual abuse counseling group.
